Lifestyle

Our qualified Lifestyle Therapists program a variety of social, recreational and creative activities. Residents are regularly invited to attend both indoor and outdoor activities as their health condition will allow.

Each month residents are invited to participate in the forward planning of the next month’s activities.  All of our activities are planned as a direct result of resident request and interest. The activities program is then posted on notice boards and a copy given to each resident.

Activities include live entertainment, BBQs, Happy Hour, bingo, trivia quiz, discussion groups and a range of games designed to engage and stimulate residents’ minds and physical well-being.

Organised Outings in our own coach with wheelchair lifter occur regularly and include trips to local points of interest, picnics, outings to clubs and national parks.

Celebrations and events are held throughout the year in addition to the activities program and include Easter Bonnet Parade, ANZAC Day, Melbourne Cup Day, Resident & Relative Christmas Party and birthday celebrations.

The Men’s Shed is a specially built "workshop" where male residents can go to relax, mingle and socialise. The Men’s Shed features a dartboard, radio, beer fridge, sporting memorabilia and books. It is also used for craft and assembly of model kits.

Movies are screened regularly in our opulent in-house cinema with reclining chairs.

The Hair Salon is open to residents each week for hair and beauty treatments.

Delta Dogs, one of our volunteer programmes, gives residents the opportunity to acquaint themselves with visiting pets, which provides a valuable and proven therapeutic service.

Other services available on site at an additional cost include podiatry, physiotherapy, massage, tai chi classes, manicure, dental, optical and aromatherapy treatments.
